Sakurai Shrine Futamigaura Torii, located in Fukuoka, is a sacred spot known for its stunning sunset views and romantic atmosphere. The torii gate stands between two rocks and is partly submerged by the ocean depending on the tides. The sunset here is nothing short of breathtaking 🥹 There’s usually a short line to take a photo but it goes by fast. Most people already left while we waited for the sunset.

If you can come by car there is a parking lot nearby but there is also a direct shuttle bus from Hakata Station that I highly recommend you take! It's very convenient and pretty fast. The West Coast Liner leaves from Hakata Bus Terminal or Tenjin 4-chome bus stop and cost 1,150 yen one way. You can pay with your suica card. Make sure to check the last bus if you're catching the sunset so you don't get stranded!
