The Greyfriars Kirkyard is not one of the Harry Potter filming locations in Scotland; however, it has significant meaning to the series. This spooky, old, but also beautiful graveyard is where J.K. Rowling spent a lot of her time writing Harry Potter. You will find tombstones with very familiar names. Some examples are Thomas Riddel, William McGonagall, Elizabeth Moodie, Potter, and more. Is this a coincidence? We do not know for sure, but it does not seem like it! This is one of the best Harry Potter Sites in Edinburgh, so make sure you go on a hunt for the names inside this beautiful graveyard.
