'Le Tombeau du Géant' or 'The Tomb of the Giant' is a magnificent panorama, classified as an exceptional natural heritage of Wallonia.

The name "Tombeau du Géant" comes from the legend of a Gallic hero, of impressive size, who refused to be taken prisoner by the Romans and preferred to throw himself off the rock "Rocher des Gattes" in instead of dying in the arena of the Colosseum. The next day, the people of Botassart found his body and buried him on top of the hill surrounded by the river.

There's a pleasant 13 km walk, departing from 'Le Tombeau du Géant' in Botassart, taking you along the banks of the Semois. A real gem!
