Stoos Area is a very diverse area, worth a visit in every season. You get amazing views over the Vierwaldstätter Lake and many summits such as Rigi and Pilatus. What to do: If you come in summer, you have to do the ridge hike from Klingenstock to Fronalpstock. Its a hike of 2 hours and 4.7km in total. and you have constant views of the mountains and the lake. If you come in Winter, you can do a very easy but also short hike on top of Fronalpstock. Its an easy 30min walk on top of Fronalpstock with great views over the lake and other mountains. After the small hike there you can do fun activities such as sledding. How to get there: For the summer hike you start in Morschach-Stoos and take the steepest funicular in the world up to Stoos. In Stoos you have to change into a chairlift up to Klingenstock. From there you can start your hike along the ridge. After arriving in Fronalpstock you can take the chairlift back down to Stoos and then the funicular down to Morschach-Stoos. If you do the winter activity, take the funicular up to Stoos as well and then take the chairlift up to Fronalpstock. There you do the little winter hike and take the same chairlift back down or use the sleds to go down. Price: A return ticket costs 50chf without reduction and 29chf with the half fare/swiss travel pass.
