This is such a lovely spot in summer, especially the train is already an adventure. How to get there: Parking spot at Handegg, Gelmerbahn. From here you can take the Gelmer train up to Lake Gelmer. On top you start the hike on the left side around the lake. It takes around 2 hours and 5km. Its a flat hike mostly but the path can be very narrow and slippery. Bring your own food, there is nothing on top where you can buy something. Price: It costs 36chf and there is no reduction fare. Tip: The tickets for the ride are booked out fast. Make sure to book it online before. Also the train is nothing for people who are afraid of heights. The train is looking like a rollercoaster but it goes very slow. Still it goes steep down on the side. Tip 2: Next to the Gelmerbahn is an amazing suspension bridge, the Handeggfall bridge. I made a post only for that :)
