Delta del Orinoco is one of the regions in Venezuela where you can find indigenous tribes in their local communities living their very raw and basic life.

Despite that other places of the country where transculturation has arrived and indigenous are more likely city people, here you still can find this tribes living in their floating houses out of fishing, hunting, farming and selling crafts.

The best way to visit this place is hire a tour with www.socoadventures.com because there is a long way to get there.

First you'll need to take a flight to Cumaná or Puerto Ordaz, and then take a car for 2 hours until Puerto Uracoa where you will have to take a boat for 1 hour approximately to reach your lodge. Once you arrive in the lodge you will have all meals, tours and stays included.

Initially there are 2 plans one of 3 days and the other of 4 days. I suggest you to take the 4 days trip because there is a lot to do there, from navigating in kayak, to exploring the jungle until watch the toninas that are the pink river dolphins, also watch how the current of the river changes its flow in from of the lodge, is simply amazing.

Meeting the local tribes by handcrafts souvenirs and also relax in the middle of the jungle are simple pleasures of this trip. the food is also made by a chef so you will enjoy spectacular meals.

If you click in www.socoadventures.net website you will find this and all the tours they have available in Venezuela, but also there is a whatsapp button where you can click and chat to a real person to customized your experience in Venezuela, also they'll take care of your safety and logistics, so you wont have to worry about anything else than enjoy one of the most mega diverse country in the world.
