Kringluvatn is in Suður Þingeyjar county and is approx. 0.6 km2 in size and almost 270 m. above sea level. From the lake Geitafellsá flows into Langavatni. The greatest depth is about 12 m. There is also very good flounder fishing in the lake and card holders can fish all year round. The water is very child-friendly.

The lake for about 440 km. from Reykjavík and almost 40 km. distance from Húsavík.

Both trout and char can be found in the lake, but the trout are caught, mastered by flounder fishing. Fishing is a home in the entire lake from morning to night throughout the season, which covers the whole year.

The best fishing time is generally early in the day and late in the day, which is otherwise the same throughout the fishing season. It is allowed to fish with flies, worms, and chips in Kringluvatn.
