You cannot go through this village without stopping at this coffee house. It might well be the best coffee house in the Westfjords. It’s run by a Belgian-Danish couple Wouter & Janne who found this building by chance 15 years ago, bought it for cheap and fixed it up before opening it up to the public. It's speciality is their Belgian waffles with rhubarb jam and whipped cream, but they also serve soups, meat stews and occasionally Moroccan tagine. Sit in their ridiculously cosy main space, outside in the sun or in an old bus that’s parked between the coffee house and the harbour.

Wouter & Janne are also the creators and curators of the Westfjords Residency (/www.westfjordsresidency.com), a program offering artists opportunities to come and spend longer times in the beautiful Dýrafjörður.
