A bit hidden off the beaten path, Acqua Al 2 is hidden gem in the busy city center. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Aqua al Due full, which is surprising considering they do really excellent work with their dishes. They incorporate fun flavors and twists into classic dishes while staying true to authentic Italian flavors. They have signed posters of famous actors and popular touring musicals all over the wall, which adds a hint of familiarity to the atmosphere. Another thing to note about Acqua Al 2 is their ability to accommodate allergens and other dietary restrictions, and while service can be a bit slow sometimes, I also think that’s what adds to the traditional charm of the place. If you aren’t in a rush (which, who are you kidding, you’re in Italy so no you’re not), it’s a great spot a bit off the beaten path to sit down and enjoy a meal.

Kacie's Recommendation: Hear me out – the Blueberry Steak (Filetto al mirtillo nero on the menu) is a standout, with the Filetto all’aceto balsamico di moderna making a close second. As a meatless option, you gotta give their “Gnudi al Pomodoro” a shot. Make sure to ask for bread so you can “Fare La Scarpetta” with it 😉
