Message from Kacie Rose

On a busy Saturday night, my friend and I found ourselves walking around, starving, and without a dinner reservation. After trying a handful of places who weren’t able to seat us, we turned a random corner where we stumbled upon this gem, almost hidden from sight. We took the groups of locals sitting outside as a good sign and decided to take a seat – and boy am I glad we did. It’s rustic, odd, no frills, but in that, very charming. If you’re looking for a quiet night out, look elsewhere – here you should expect to be met inside with the classic atmosphere of joyful, laughing Italians, celebrating just because they can. The menu is entirely in Italian and the waiters don’t speak much English, but after fumbling through some translations our waiter brought us everything she recommended on the menu, which was all delicious. To this day it is one of my favorite random dining experiences.

Kacie's Recommendation: For starters, you have to try the Coccoli, a bread dough fritter, which is stuffed with eggplant, mozzarella, anchovies, and red pepper sauce. I bit into this and felt like all my dreams came true. Give the “Paccheri Pasta” a try and if it’s on the menu, their seasonal Gnocchi dish. The Florentine Steak is wonderfully done here, and to finish off you’ve gotta try the molten chocolate lava cake.
