All the dishes at Parione are incredibly flavorful (some of the most tender meat I’ve had yet), but in addition to the excellent food, the rustic feel of Parione and the incredible kindness of the waiters makes you feel instantly welcome. They serve up traditional Tuscan dishes at an elevated yet homey level, and you can tell just how much love and passion they pour into the plates. Just be cautious about ordering anything off the chef specials that the waiter will mention without asking the price first – one time I ordered a normal steak, and while it was absolutely killer and I’d do it again, it set me back a cool 40€ without me knowing.

Kacie's Recommendation: Obviously the Florentine Steak, but Parione really excels in all their meat cuts here – the beef chop stuffed with artichokes and parmesan is fantastic, as is the lamb chop special. Also, ask if they have the Fettuccine Truffle pasta on the specials for the night – it’s still one of my favorite truffle pastas I’ve ever had in Florence.
