Message from Kacie Rose

Walking past Mercato Centrale one day we stumbled upon this little Trattoria. It popped into my head that a Florentine friend had recommended it to me for classic Tuscan cuisine, so we decided to stop in for lunch - and I’m so glad we did. It may not look like much from the front, but the unpretentious and informal setting inside lends a hand in making Trattoria Sergio Gozzi perfectly authentic. We ate fantastic typical food for a very good price so we left feeling full and satisfied. It filled up shortly after we stopped in, so I’d definitely recommend making a reservation here.

Kacie's Recommendation: We tried the “Polpette Fritte” (“Fried Meatballs”) to start which were fantastic, and for the main I went for the “Peposo” which is one of my favorite beef stews I’ve tried in the city center. Dario opted for the “Trippa Alla Fiorentina” – if you’re feeling adventurous, he said it was perfectly and authentically done.
