From the outside looking in, you wouldn’t expect much from this little Cantina which is exactly why it’s so good. With an entire basement containing the main seating for the restaurant, Cantina Barbagianni is discreet, cozy, and cooking up some pretty great food. Paired with a kind and helpful staff, I definitely recommend heading here if you’re looking for a quieter dining experience in the city center. Personally I’d recommend requesting a table in the basement of the restaurant – surrounded by ancient brick arches and candlelight from the tables, it lends a hand in making the entire ambiance very comfortable and romantic.

Kacie's Recommendation: To start off, the parmesan flan with balsamic vinegar and honey is, in simple terms, amazing. For mains, the Mugello ravioli is fantastic as well as any of the meat dishes – the pork fillet with plums and apples was a standout.
