The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the world – and the first one built to link Manhattan to Brooklyn, nearly 1,2 mile long. It was in opened in 1883 – 13 years after its construction began. Today, on average, 120,000 vehicles cross the Brooklyn Bridge every day, in addition to 4,000 pedestrians and 2,600 cyclists. Crossing the bridge is a classic, unforgettable and free thing to do! Crossing from Brooklyn ti Manhattan can be more pleasurable for you to contemplate the city skyline. Also, now the bike lane is completely separate from the pedestrian lane, so it might be a good tip to rent a bike!

TIP: this is one of the most popular attractions in the city and, consequently, it is a place that is always full. If you want a unique and unforgettable experience - meaning a bridge empty - I recommend visiting the place at sunrise. Rainy days also leave the bridge empty and it can be an interesting experience to contemplate the place on a gray day.
