This easy hike in central Switzerland in the canton of Graubünden leads from the Oberalp Pass to the beautiful, almost magical Lake Toma (2,345 m), the source of the Vorderes Rhein, near the Badus Hut and at the foot of Piz Badus. As a harbinger of the source of the Rhine, you can also admire the highest lighthouse in the world on the Oberalp Pass. I think this hike is also particularly nice to do in late summer and in the later afternoon when the colors turn everything into a beautiful golden tone.

T2 Distance: 4.3km Duration: 1:45 h Ascent: 444m Descent: 112m

Best season: June-October

Photography tips: when you arrive at the lake there are a couple of nicely exposed viewpoints to shoot with the lake in the background. If you feel like it, you should walk towards Badushütte because from there you get amazing reflections and another fantastic lake view!
