Message from Michaela Scalisi

Short but extremely varied hike on the border of the cantons of St. Gallen and Glarus from Betlis to the Seerenbach Falls. The waterfall offers a spectacle in a class of its own: over a total height of 585 m, the Seerenbach falls in several stages down the vertical rock face on the northern shore of Lake Walen. The starting point of the tour is the Betlis boat landing stage, which is best reached from Weesen. From here the tour leads to the Stralegg castle ruins, where you can enjoy a beautiful 360° panorama. Via Vorderbetlis you reach the path that branches off to the left to the Seerenbach Falls. At almost 600 m high, the waterfalls are among the highest in Europe.

Once again, here you can also combine it with the Chapel Betlis and leave the people who are not interested behind for relaxing. It's literally just a 15 min walk from the Chapel.
