This is such a little gem which gets often overlooked. But oh hey, the Härzlisee located above Engelberg and next to the Brunnihütte SAC is a perfect destination or stopover on your longer hikes. I recommend to park your car in Engelberg Brunni and take the cable car up the mountain. Afterwards you simply follow the trail towards Brunnihütte. The ascent take 50 minutes and is easy (266m) from there you can further continue towards other higher destinations or just enjoy the view, try the tickle path along the Härzlisee (so much fun!) or even try the barefoot path back to the cable car.

Photography tips: the Härzlisee is actually perfect to capture some unique mountain panorama and reflections. If you come in the morning or just for sunset you'll also get insanely beautiful colors!
