This hike to the Bachalpsee lake near Grindelwald is a popular choice great choice for any visitor to the Jungfrau Region, particularly families and casual hikers. It’s one of the easiest hikes in the region, with fantastic mountain views and lots of amusements including the Grindelwald cliff walk, mountain scooters, a long zip line, and a fun playground with a view.
It’s only an hour each way to the Bachalpsee, easy to fit into a half-day. If you want to hike longer, I have option below including a tough hike up to the Faulhorn peak for even more epic views. If you are also more into photography it is worth to plan a camping trip so you will be at the prime times on the location.

when I did it, I started only at 5PM with the hike and arrived by 7PM at the lake and had still enough time for shooting, setting up the tent and enjoying some nice dinner :)

Photography tips: If you hike towards Faulhorn you get the most scenic view from above on the Bachalpsee (count another 30 min or so)
