When arriving at the small village of Gjógv you will notice the parking areas. Park the car there and start walking down to the gorge. The most common view of the gorge is from the stairs and hiking a bit around the gorge gives you a good perspective of the picture square village. If you take a walk on top of the gorge follow the trail up the mountain there is a chance that you will see the puffins on the edge of the cliffs in summer time.  Take a walk between the small streets that surround this village and admire the small houses as well.
