Getting there: The location given above is for the parking lot. You must park then walk about an hour to the plane. It's a completely flat and very easy walk.

If you don't want to walk, there is a shuttle that takes you from the parking lot to the wreck and back (between 10am - 5pm). It costs 2900 ISK.

Top tips: Get there early! Trust me. Try to arrive for 7-730am, if not earlier (or much much later at night). Starting at 10am, it gets very crowded. If you get there early, you'll have the chance to climb the plane and get amazing shots. But please be VERY careful should you decide to climb it. It is very unsafe. Go slowly.

Content tips: A top down view with a drone is beautiful. There is noting around so it makes for a very nice minimalist shot. You can also get creative with the windows of the plane used as a frame.
