Latin America, Peru

Traveling through Central and South America means experiencing an incredible variety of climates — sometimes all in a single trip. You could start in the steamy, humid rainforests of Costa Rica or the Amazon, then head to the bone-dry deserts. Next, you might trek the freezing high-altitude trails like Salkantay in Peru, before relaxing on tropical beaches in Colombia. Because the weather changes so dramatically from region to region, packing for just one climate won’t cut it. Lightweight, breathable clothes, rain gear, layers for warmth, and sun protection are all essential. Being prepared for every type of weather not only keeps you comfortable but also allows you to fully enjoy each unique environment, from hiking volcanoes to lounging by the ocean, without being caught off guard.

For example this is what we had for these very different climates.
