Zpráva od Cassadvantures

Murphy's Haystacks is a pretty iconic spot located between Streaky Bay and Port Kenny on the Eyre Peninsula, these rock formations are like nature's own art installation. The rocks, which look a lot like giant haystacks (hence the name), are actually made of pink granite and rise about 8 meters tall. They were shaped by thousands of years of rainwater erosion and weathering, creating these cool, unique shapes.

Since these rock formations are on private land there is a $2.00 visiting fee to help the owner maintain the area. When I got there, I was blown away by how quirky and impressive these formations are. There’s something really magical about seeing these giant rocks just sitting there, almost like they’re ancient sentinels keeping watch over the outback. Plus, there's a campsite right next to the rocks where you can spend the night for $10.00. It’s perfect for catching the sunrise or sunset over the formations, which makes for some truly amazing photo opportunities.
