Spent a couple of weeks here! A lot of things to do and the city is great to walk around! Lots of great day trips and the coast is super close with some great walks and views!

Top Things to Do

  • Sydney Opera House & Harbour Bridge – Iconic views from Circular Quay and the best spot to start your trip.

  • Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk – A must-do cliff top trail with epic ocean views, beaches, and hidden coves.

  • Royal Botanic Garden – Green escape in the city with top views of the Opera House.

  • Manly Beach – Catch a ferry from Circular Quay for beachy vibes, surf, and waterfront dining.

  • Taronga Zoo – Not just for animals—the skyline views across the harbour are incredible.

How Many Days to Spend

  • Minimum: 2–3 full days – Explore the Harbour, visit the Opera House, Bondi Beach, and stroll through The Rocks.

  • Ideal: 4–5 days – Add in Taronga Zoo, Blue Mountains day trip, Manly ferry ride, museums, and coastal walks.

  • More time? Use Sydney as your base to explore New South Wales: think Jervis Bay, Hunter Valley, and the Southern Highlands.

Best Time to Visit

  • Spring (Sep–Nov) – Mild, sunny, and perfect for walking and outdoor activities.

  • Summer (Dec–Feb) – Beach weather, but can get busy and hot.

  • Surry Hills – Trendy cafés, nightlife, and close to Central Station.

  • Bondi Beach – Beachside stay with surf culture and boutique stays.

  • Newtown – For creatives, street art, and indie food scene.

Where to Eat & Drink

  • The Grounds of Alexandria – Garden café meets foodie heaven.

  • Opera Bar – Drinks with a view, right by the Opera House.

  • Speedos Café (Bondi) – Beachfront brunch spot with vegan options.

  • Chinatown – Late-night eats, dumplings, and street food vibes.
