The Bespoke BC Expedition Plan
Consultant: Jay Kennedy
Expertise: 30+ Years of Southwest BC Backroads & Coastal Exploration
Overview
You aren’t just buying a list of GPS coordinates or AI selected top ten lists; you are hiring a lifelong resident to architect a seamless, safe, and memorable journey through the rugged heart of British Columbia. Whether you are piloting a 4x4 looking for the "Deep Valley" or a soft-roader seeking the perfect "Sip & Stroll" weekend, I remove the guesswork and the tourist traps from your itinerary.
What’s Included in Your Custom Plan
1. The Technical Route Audit
Vehicle Matching: let's make sure you are ready for the adventure you seek. I have experience and insider knowledge of which routes need which vehicle and driving skills (High-clearance 4WD vs. AWD vs. standard clearance rental vehicles).
FSR Intelligence: Up-to-date advice on Forest Service Road conditions and seasonal risks like washouts, fire closures & snow levels.
Safety Buffers: Realistic drive times that account for BC’s mountain terrain and not just what a generic map app tells you.
2. The "Local-Only" Layer
Vetted "Secret" Spots: Access to the viewpoints, hidden waterfalls, and quiet groves I’ve discovered over three decades, many of which aren't on any Top 10 list.
The "Sip & Savour" Circuit: Hand-picked recommendations for the best farm-to-table stops, craft breweries, and boutique distilleries that reflect the soul of the Fraser Valley.
3. The Geocaching Advantage (Optional Add-on)
If you’re a cacher, I will include a curated list of Must-Find locations along your route, from historic hides to high-terrain EarthCaches.
The Planning Process
Discovery Intake: Upon booking, you’ll receive a brief questionnaire. I’ll need to know your vehicle type, your "Adventure Level" (1–5), your dietary preferences, and your "Must-See" list.
Draft Review: Within 7 business days, I’ll provide a high-level outline of the route for your initial feedback.
Final Delivery: You receive your full digital itinerary, complete with my "Pro-Tips" on packing, fuel stops, and local etiquette.
Note on Safety: While I provide the best possible information based on 30 years of experience, BC weather and road conditions can change in an instant. All itineraries are provided with the understanding that the driver is responsible for their own safety and vehicle recovery.
