Zpráva od Ashley Elliott

Farewell Spit is a 34 km long sandspit located in the Nelson Tasman region of New Zealand, it is one of the longest natural spits in the world. It is an important wetland, and is a bird sanctuary that provides a home for over 90 species including bar tailed godwits, knots, curlews, whimbrels and turnstones. The first lighthouse was built here in 1869 and still stands today. You can explore Farewell Spit by taking a 4WD safari with tour operators from Collingwood, or see some seal pups basking in the sun below at Cape Farewell. This spectacular destination is not to be missed - its dramatic landscape is sure to captivate visitors and make for a fun and exciting adventure.
