Doing this Itinerary for the anime lovers especially the ones that have seen Attack on Titan (AOT). Just like boyfriend Alex, he absolutely loves AOT and have always wanted to head to the city where it all started, Hita.
Hita is a small city embedded in the mountains of Japan’s Kyushu Island. in Oyama, a small town in the city of Hita, is the home town of the creator or AOT, Hajime Isayam, where he grew up. When visiting you will see all the details of this town that spark allot of inspiration while making the manga series of Attack on Titan. from the large damn, to the large trees and the military that resides there.
to get to this town by public transportation is completely doable from Fukuoka station, but getting around this town once there can be challenging as it has very limited buses and trains. I suggest renting a car in Fukuoka and driving down to Hita.
