There's a bit of a walk from the train station to the historic center, where you get to see the parts of Monopoli that aren't so pretty, so at first, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's safe to say that the historic center of Monopoli is definitely the town's best area to roam. From quaint cafes and trattorias to cute piazzas and gorgeous narrow whitewashed streets, this is a treasure trove waiting to be explored.
