This is a favorite hike I like to take friend on who have never been to Tahoe.

Whale Beach in Lake Tahoe is a popular and scenic 100-yard beach accessed through the Secret Harbor parking area. Its name comes from a protruding rock that looks like a whale bursting from the water.
