Children under the age of 2 are not allowed inside the lagoon and children under 8 years old are required to wear floaties regardless of swim ability. While the temperature of the lagoon is similar to a hot tub, there were a few hot spots that even felt too hot for me - and my toddler needed to be lifted out. If you run into this, just pick them up and relocate to a different area.

My biggest tip for visiting the Blue Lagoon with toddler is to pick the opening time slot (8am) because that's the least crowded time. We shared the entire lagoon with only a handful of other people for the first hour, and then traffic started to pick up quickly.
