For those, who are more on a budget and prefer some more remote than Mt Rigi, this might be the place. For sure its one of my favorites, since the views of the Vierwaldstätter Lake are unbeatable. How to get there: Take the cable car from Emmetten up to Niederbauen. From there you hike for around 1.5 hours up to Niederbauen Chulm. The views are breathtaking along the way. You can see Mt Rigi on the other side of the lake. Costs: Return ticket is 22chf and there is no discount fare. Tip: There is an open fire place with firewood provided. Bring your own food and make a bbq there.
