I'm Cate, voice and content creator behind @catescompass. I'm based in South Carolina and spend most of my free time hiking and exploring the Southeast U.S. Finding hidden gems, incredible mountaintop views, the best local breweries, and unique Airbnb stays has been a passion of mine for years. The Southeast is home to so many beautiful trails, waterfalls, lakes, and rivers - I can't wait to be your guide for it!

I grew up in the Midwest and always had a passion for the outdoors, but I felt like where I lived was sparking any excitement for me. When my husband matched into residency in South Carolina, I made it a goal to get to know my new home and explore more. Here we are, almost 3 years later, and I am still shocked at how much I've seen. The best part? I still have so many things saved on my google maps that I can't wait to add to this map next year.
