As one of Newfoundland's two national parks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Gros Morne offers a landscape filled with towering fjords, dramatic cliffs, and expansive forests. It's a breathtaking backdrop that makes it one of my absolute favorite places to explore in the province.

The Viking Trail, which passes directly through the park, provides easy access, but I highly recommend dedicating at least a couple of days to truly immerse yourself in all that Gros Morne has to offer. The park is a paradise for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, with trails that cater to all levels of experience—from leisurely walks to challenging multi-day treks.

For those up for a challenge, the Gros Morne Mountain hike is a standout. This 16km round-trip journey is strenuous but incredibly rewarding. The trail takes you to the highest point in the park, where you are greeted with stunning panoramic views that are simply unmatched. Standing at the summit, looking out over the vast landscape, you feel a profound connection to the natural world, making every step of the climb worth it.
