What a perfect, easy, and amazingly simple campsite right by the beach!

Yes—it's about 25 minutes "out of the way" if you're driving from Tromsø and taking the ferry over to Senja, but if you don't mind the little extra driving, it's a pretty epic spot for spending your first night of the trip.

The "campsite" is as basic as it gets—just a patch of grass that's next to the sand, but for $10 you get access to bathrooms, and a priceless view out your door.

We can't guarantee you'll get as lucky as we did, but the very first morning, right when we woke up, there was a herd or reindeer walking down the beach. I mean...seriously? Is there a better introduction to Norway?!

Make sure you have all your food and groceries beforehand, since the village doesn't have any shops.
