Zpráva od Irene Pila

Notting Hill is a fashionable neighborhood of West London, situated within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Having been referred to as an affluent and fashionable area, it is home to a variety of businesses and cultural attractions, such as the iconic Notting Hill Carnival, Portobello Road Market, and Westbourne Grove. With its history tracing back to the 19th century, the area was previously a hamlet on rural land that has since become urbanized with the expansion of London's borders. It is renowned for its attractive terraces of large Victorian townhouses and high-end shopping, restaurants, and pubs. The origin of the name "Notting Hill" remains somewhat uncertain, thought to have derived from a manor in Kensington called Knotting-Bernes, Knutting-Barnes, or Nutting-barns.
