As I’ve mentioned before, it’s not easy to find exceptional seafood in Florence, but Cantinetta delle Terme excels in it. Located down a quiet alleyway in the city center, it’s unassuming front allows for a cozy and peaceful atmosphere inside. The staff are joyful, attentive, and passionate to share their cuisine with both locals and visitors. Since, as I mentioned, the restaurant is unassuming and off the beaten path, the times I’ve eaten at Cantinetta I’ve been surrounded by Italians and have only heard English a handful of times.
Kacie's Recommendation: I’m not a huge fish person, but the Sea Bass Filet with a Potato Crust and Asparagus Cream had me drooling. For dessert, the crème brulee is a must-try.
