Zpráva od Katarína Lepšíková

The Basilica of St. Ludmila, located in Prague's Vinohrady district, is a stunning neo-Gothic Catholic church named after St. Ludmila of Bohemia. Built between 1888 and 1892, this brick-made basilica features two impressive towers and a colorful interior adorned with paintings and sculptures by renowned artists. Closed for renovations in the 1970s and 1980s, it reopened in 1992 with a grand ceremony led by Cardinal Miloslav Vlk. In 2022, Pope Francis elevated the church to the status of a minor basilica, adding to its historical significance and charm.
