Zpráva od Line Hedegaard

Kangerlussuaq Airport, located in Greenland, is a key airport serving the central-western region of the country. Initially built during the US occupation in 1941, it has evolved into one of only three civilian airports in Greenland capable of handling large aircraft. Over the years, it has been a hub for Air Greenland's international flights, but in November 2024, most of the traffic shifted to Nuuk Airport. Despite this change, Kangerlussuaq Airport will continue to operate as a domestic airport with seasonal flights to Copenhagen and other destinations within Greenland. The airport features a passenger terminal, Hotel Kangerlussuaq for accommodations, and serves as an important gateway for tourists and researchers visiting the area.
