In the middle of the arctic circle, there is a very famous restaurant called Kvitnes Gård owned by Halvar Ellingsen that attracts visitors from all over Norway, and abroad. And while an evening at this famous spot would be a great experience to add to your bucket list, Halvar has also opened a cafe in Sortland called Lille Kvitnes Kafé to make dining at his restaurant accessible for everyone.

Lille Kvitnes Kafé is a great spot for lunch, or for coffee and pastries. They use raw and locally sourced ingredients native to Vesterålen, with sustainability always at the forefront. I can really recommend the fiskeboller (fish balls), which are famous to the local Vesterålen region.
