Zpráva od Mari

Zojoji Temple, located next to Tokyo Tower, is the head temple of the Jodo sect of Japanese Buddhism in the Kanto Region. Originally built in 1393 and moved to its current location in 1598 by Tokugawa Ieyasu, the temple houses the mausoleum of the Tokugawa family, including six shogun tombs. The main gate, Sangedatsumon, dating back to 1622, has survived numerous disasters. Visitors can explore the small museum in the temple's basement, which showcases the history of the Tokugawa Mausoleum through documents and a scale model of the former buildings. Admission to the temple is free, while entry to the mausoleum and museum costs between 500 and 1000 yen.
