Alþingishúsið, also known as The Parliament House, is a historic building in Reykjavík, Iceland, where the Icelandic parliament, Alþingi, meets. Designed by Ferdinand Meldahl and built in the late 19th century, it features unique reliefs representing Iceland's mythical creatures. While it once housed various institutions, today it mainly accommodates the parliamentary chamber and some administrative offices. Plans are underway to construct a new building nearby for additional facilities.
