I stayed in this family owned 3-star hotel after my Glacier Express ride, and honestly price was a big factor, If the Hotel Kulm and similar options are beyond your budget—and who could blame you in St Moritz—then this hotel strikes the perfect balance between price, service, views, and comfort.

Opting for a lake view room will set you back a bit, but you’ll still be saving at least £500 per night compared to some of the other lakeside hotels, and it's well worth it!

The hotel is impeccably clean and tidy, though not modern, but I think the period furnishings adds to its grace and old-world charm. The food is excellent, and enjoying a drink on the terrace bar while taking in the lake views is easily worth the room rate alone. Finally, it’s a short walk to the upscale shopping streets, where you can window shop or relax with a drink at a bar.
