Hraunfossar, also known as 'Lava Falls', is a stunning series of waterfalls in West Iceland near the town of Reykholt.

Location: Hraunfossar is located in the Borgarfjörður region of western Iceland, near the village of Húsafell and close to Reykholt. The falls are part of the Hallmundarhraun lava field.

Accessibility: The waterfall is easily accessible by car via Route 518. There is a parking area near the falls, and a short, well-marked path leads to several viewing platforms.

Best Time to Visit: Hraunfossar can be visited year-round. Each season offers a different experience, from the vibrant greens of summer to the icy beauty of winter. Autumn is especially beautiful due to the colorful foliage.
