A World Heritage Site, I consider Blenheim Palace to be an incredible place to visit, comprising a 2,000-acre playground of lush greenery and historical charm.

The Palace is enough to bowl you over with its elegant halls and state rooms, and then the formal gardens and grounds will take it to another level as well.

With sweeping landscapes, serene lakes, and majestic trees, it's the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, a picnic with friends, or simply soaking up the beauty of nature.

It’s actually the only non-royal non-episcopal palace in England, but it couldn’t be called anything else given its majesty.

To me, Blenheim Palace is a place steeped in romance and crying out for an amble with your favourite person, but there’s plenty to do here for families too.

Don't miss the Butterfly House for a really cool experience of having the beautiful insects fly around you.

Afternoon tea at Blenheim Palace

If grand is what you’re after then you aren’t going to do better than afternoon tea at Blenheim Palace in The Orangery.

You’ll feel completely at home in the luxury style, sipping champagne and snaffling a macaroon or two.

As you’d expect, the afternoon tea here is formal, delicate and beautiful. Expect an afternoon of indulgence. I also love that the service is second to none and the atmosphere is impossibly impressive.
