Mount Norquay is just a few minutes from downtown Banff, offers a laid-back and family-friendly vibe perfect for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. With a mix of beginner slopes and challenging terrain, shorter lift lines, and night skiing available, it's the go-to spot for a cozy and authentic winter experience. Plus, they've got a killer Snow School, top-notch rentals, epic events, and the longest tube park lanes in Alberta.
It's the oldest ski resort in Banff and a favorite with local families. It presents a nice opportunity for visitors in the winter to try skiing in a more approachable setting. Those after a proper ski holiday though will want to give Norquay a skip. It was built in an unfortunate location that receives too much sun and too little snow, which makes for steep mogul filled ski runs with poor coverage. In general ski conditions for intermediates to experts will be far from ideal compared to Sunshine and Lake Louise.
It's got some amazing views, granted so do all of the ski resorts in Banff!
