Tipping is not required, but it’s always appreciated. In restaurants, 10% is standard if service was good, though it’s often not included in the bill. For taxi drivers, it’s common to round up the fare. If you're taking part in a trek (like to Machu Picchu), it's customary to tip your guides, porters, and cooks—your tour company will usually suggest an appropriate amount. Small tips for hotel staff, bag handlers, and tour drivers are also appreciated.
