Packing Tips
Be prepared!
Peru’s climate is wildly diverse—expect to experience desert, mountain, and jungle weather all in one trip. Pack layers: moisture-wicking base layers, warm fleece or down jacket, waterproof outer shell, and lightweight clothing for Lima or the Amazon. Don’t forget:
Sturdy hiking shoes or boots
Daypack with hydration system
Sunscreen + sunglasses (UV is strong at altitude!)
Bug spray with DEET for jungle areas
Rain gear if traveling during the wet season
Headlamp or flashlight for early treks or power outages
