Norway is one of the safest countries in the world — crime rates are extremely low.
Emergency numbers: 112 (police), 113 (ambulance), 110 (fire).
Medical care: Pharmacies (“Apotek”) are common, but rural ones may close early. Hospitals are excellent but expensive without travel insurance.
Wildlife safety: No dangerous animals except rare encounters with moose or reindeer.
