Vík í Mýrdal is the cutest little village right on Iceland’s south coast — and probably one of the most photographed places in the country. 🖤 It's super tiny, but it’s got this charming red-roofed church (you’ve definitely seen it in photos) perched up on a hill with views over the black sand beach and dramatic cliffs.

This is the perfect base for exploring the south coast — Reynisfjara, Dyrhólaey, and even Katla ice caves are all nearby. And if you're lucky, you might catch the northern lights dancing above the village in winter. ✨

There’s also a super cosy café in town called Halldórskaffi where you can warm up with a coffee and some homemade cake after a day of adventuring. Total vibe.
