If you’re a K-drama fan, this one’s for you. Chang Hwa Dang (창화당) shot to fame after appearing in episode 1 of Hotel del Luna — IU’s character takes Yeo Jin-goo to her favorite mandu spot, and ever since, fans have been flocking here to try it for themselves.

The Daehakro branch is the original filming location, but you’ll find outlets all across Seoul, including Hannam, Sinsa, Seocho, Yeonnam, and Ikseon-dong (my pick, since the pink café Hotel Seine next door was also featured in the drama).

The Ikseon-dong location is a very small food shop. There about 10-12 tables in the shop and people usually go in pairs, or maybe maximum 3-4 people.

he menu centers on mandu (Korean dumplings), but they’ve given them a fun twist with creative fillings. Think: truffle mandu, shrimp, galbi, pork, kimchi, and even spicy green chili. A plate of 6 pieces runs about ₩6,500–₩8,000, or you can go straight for the Mixed Mandu Plate (₩10,000) to try a little of everything.

Pro tip: they’ll give you scissors so you can cut the dumplings in half — easier to share and less messy.

If you’re extra hungry, round out your meal with their Mandu Soup (₩7,500), Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup (₩10,000), Kimchi Fried Rice (₩8,000), or their famous Tteokbokki (₩7,000). The rice cakes are chewy, served in individual portions, and coated in a sauce that’s the perfect balance of sweet and spicy.

💡 Tip: This place gets packed, especially with younger crowds and couples. If you’re at the Ikseon-dong branch, write your name on the clipboard and take a short stroll through the hanok alleys while you wait.
