Choose your beach carefully

Elba’s beaches are surprisingly varied. You will find fine sand, white pebbles, dark mineral sand, rocky coves and smooth granite areas around the island.

Sandy beaches such as Cavoli, Fetovaia and Marina di Campo are popular with families. Pebble and rocky beaches can offer especially clear water and are often well suited to snorkelling.

Before leaving, check the beach access, available facilities and parking situation. Smaller coves may involve stairs, uneven paths or a longer walk from the road.
